The Hooded Lantern is a lamp that shines in one direction. It casts a 30° spotlight with a 30 metre range, plus a 2 metre point light around itself, and it runs without fuel.

How to Build It

---

You build it from the Misc tab of the Hammer for 3 Timberwood and 1 Luminous Larva. You can place it away from any crafting station, and unlike most pieces it can also go inside dungeons. It has 100 durability and rain does not wear it down.

• There is also a handheld version that works like a torch and weighs 2. When equipped it lowers your movement speed by 5%, and it can block with 3 block armour, 20 block force and a 2x parry bonus.
• As a building piece it is weak to chop damage, resistant to pierce, fire, frost and lightning, and immune to poison and spirit.
