Steeper hips need Thatch Roof O-Corner 45°, the outer corner cut to match the sharp thatch slope. For two lengths of Wood from the Roofing section, it carries a 45° roof round the outside angle of a building and keeps the whole run watertight where two slopes would otherwise clash.
How to Build It
Again it costs two wood and needs a Workbench in range for the Hammer. Use it in pairs with the matching panel and ridge. At 45° the roof climbs quickly, so a hipped tower or a closed gable end finishes in fewer courses than the shallow set would take. It is exposed thatch and it weathers, so a hammer pass after storms keeps the corner sound instead of letting rot creep down into the wall beneath.
