Nothing in the Walls section gets used more often than the Wood Wall, the plain full-height panel that closes the square gaps in a timber frame. Two Wood buy a slab thick enough to turn a Greyling's claws and keep the rain off whatever you have stacked inside.
How to Build It
Each panel costs two Wood, placed with a Workbench in range, and you repair it for free with the same Hammer that raised it. Wood is the softest of the building materials and rots wherever the sky can reach it, so a deep overhang keeps the panel dry. Anything larger than a Greydwarf coming down the path is a good argument for stone instead.
