Doppler Decoction is a decoction that raises crit damage by 50% on attacks from behind. One brew holds 1 charge, a dose lasts 30 minutes, and it adds 50 Toxicity. It is brewed from the mutagen of a Doppler.
Weapons carry crit chance and crit damage as bonus effects, so a sword with high crit stats gets the most out of it.
Doppler
The Doppler is a Relict that can take the form of any humanoid or animal it likes. Dopplers are also called vexlings or changelings. The change is complete, so a Doppler even gives off the same aura as the being it copies. Dopplers are timid and avoid bloodshed at all costs. They live in Novigrad. Relict Oil works well against them.
How to Get Doppler Decoction
- Read the book The Bear Legend to learn the formula, or find the formula as random loot.
- Brew it from the alchemy menu, outside combat, with 1 Dwarven Spirit, 1 Doppler Mutagen, 1 Han Fiber and 1 Longrube.
- Meditate with strong alcohol such as Dwarven Spirit, Alcohest or White Gull in the inventory to refill its charge.
