Toxicity

Toxicity rises with every potion and decoction Geralt drinks. His default maximum Toxicity is 100. Past the overdose threshold he loses Vitality.

How It Works

  • Every potion and decoction adds Toxicity when drunk.
  • Geralt can drink a potion or decoction only while it keeps his Toxicity within its current maximum.
  • Above the overdose threshold, Geralt loses Vitality until Toxicity drops back below it.
  • While overdosed, Geralt's face shows dark veins and rings around the eyes, his scars look reopened, and the Vitality bar turns green.
  • Potion Toxicity drains away over time. Decoction Toxicity stays until the decoction's effect ends.
  • Each decoction adds 50 Toxicity. The Basilisk Decoction adds 40.
  • White Honey clears all Toxicity and cancels all active potion effects.
  • Meditation clears Toxicity too, including decoction Toxicity.
