Feline Steel Sword is the basic tier of the Feline (Cat School) steel sword, witcher gear from the base game. It deals 162-198 damage at level 17 with a 5% chance to cause bleeding. Its diagram is in the basement of Drahim Castle, found during Scavenger Hunt: Cat School Gear. It is a mid-game sword.
The bleeding chance adds damage over time to its hits. It also gives +5% bonus experience from humans and nonhumans and has 1 rune slot. It is the first step of the Feline Steel Sword upgrade chain, which ends at the Grandmaster tier.
As a Feline piece it belongs to a set whose bonuses reward fast attacks and rear attacks.
Set Bonus
The Feline set is light armor. It has five tiers: Basic at level 17, Enhanced at 23, Superior at 29, Mastercrafted at 34 and Grandmaster at 40. 3 pieces: a strong attack raises fast attack damage by 10% per set piece worn, for 5 seconds. 6 pieces: rear attacks deal 50% more damage and stun the target, at a cost of 1 adrenaline point. These bonuses come from Grandmaster pieces worn as a set.
How to Get Feline Steel Sword
- Start Scavenger Hunt: Cat School Gear in Novigrad.
- Go to the basement of Drahim Castle.
- Take the diagram from the chest with Prince Adrien's journal.
- A journeyman blacksmith crafts it.
Feline Steel Sword Map Location and Quest Guide
The pin marks Drahim Castle in the Grassy Knoll area of Novigrad. The Feline Steel Sword diagram lies on the lowest floor of the ruined castle, with Prince Adrien's journal. It turns up during Scavenger Hunt: Cat School Gear, and a journeyman blacksmith crafts the sword from it.
- Start Scavenger Hunt: Cat School Gear by finding any of its diagrams or Julia Kenyon's diary, or by buying one of Adalbert Kermith's maps in Blackbough, Crow's Perch or Lindenvale.
- Travel to Drahim Castle.
- Blast the wooden door open with Aard.
- Climb down the ladders to the lowest floor.
- Loot the steel sword diagram there and read Prince Adrien's journal.

Notes
In NG+ the diagram makes Legendary Feline Steel Sword instead. It needs level 17 plus the NG+ starting level, deals 169.6-207.2 damage at level 18, has 3 rune slots and gives +15% bleeding chance and +10% crit chance.
