Location	Skellige
DLC	Base game

Fringilla Vigo is a Nilfgaardian sorceress and a member of the Lodge of Sorceresses. She once held office in the duchy of Toussaint, a vassal of Nilfgaard. In The Witcher 3, she is a prisoner of Emperor Emhyr until Geralt brings her into the fight against the Wild Hunt.

Lore

---

Emperor Emhyr once gave the mages of Nilfgaard a simple choice. They could serve their country without question or die in prison. Fringilla Vigo refused both options. Instead, she joined the Lodge of Sorceresses, whose aim was to stand up to the orders of kings and emperors. Those bold plans never came to pass. From then on, Fringilla lived in fear that her ties to the Lodge would be found out and she would be executed.

Geralt first met Fringilla many years ago at the ducal palace in Beauclair. He was then a guest of Duchess Anna Henrietta. The witcher, always drawn to sorceresses, began a lively affair with Fringilla. Neither Triss nor Yennefer would have been pleased.

Story

---

By the time of the game, Fringilla has been arrested. She sits in a Nilfgaardian prison and seems sure to be executed for high treason.

Yennefer strikes a bargain with Emhyr that grants the Lodge amnesty, and it saves Fringilla. In Battle Preparations, the allies sail to Skellige to ready the final battle against the Wild Hunt. In Veni Vidi Vigo, Geralt carries Yennefer's letter to Emhyr's flagship off the coast of Skellige. He swims out to the fleet by night and climbs aboard by the anchor. Emhyr keeps his word and sets Fringilla free, on condition that she help fight the Wild Hunt. Tired of boats, Fringilla teleports herself and Geralt back to Kaer Trolde Harbor.

With Fringilla's help secured, the allies are ready at last. In On Thin Ice, they summon the Naglfar to Undvik and defeat the Wild Hunt.

Relationships

---

Fringilla belongs to the Lodge of Sorceresses. Emperor Emhyr is the ruler who imprisoned her for treason. Yennefer's pact with Emhyr wins her freedom. Geralt was once her lover in Toussaint.
