On Thin Ice is the main quest of the final battle against the Wild Hunt. The allies use the Sunstone to summon the Naglfar to the shores of Undvik, straight into their trap. The plan soon goes wrong. Caranthir freezes the elite Nilfgaardian soldiers before they can board the ship. Ciri was meant to stay out of the fight, but she rushes in to save Geralt. Geralt kills Caranthir and then Eredin, the King of the Wild Hunt. Before he dies, Eredin claims that Avallac'h betrayed Geralt and has his own plans for Ciri.

On Thin Ice Quest Guide

1. Travel to the Marlin Coast on Undvik and enter the Nilfgaardian camp.
2. Listen to Avallac'h explain the plan.
3. Make the last preparations, such as potions and repairs.
4. Talk to Avallac'h by the boat at the pier when ready to fight.
5. As Ciri, cut through the Wild Hunt warriors and hounds.
6. As Ciri, fight Caranthir until a cutscene plays.
7. As Geralt, fight Caranthir and dodge his ice projectiles.
8. Let his projectiles strike the Ice Elementals he summons.
9. Kill Caranthir.
10. Swim to the surface as fast as possible.
11. Fight through the hounds and warriors and board the Naglfar.
12. Fight Eredin, dodging when he teleports and parrying his sword.
13. Keep fighting Eredin on the icy cliffs beyond his portal.
14. Follow Eredin through the portal back to the Naglfar and finish him.
15. Listen to Eredin's last words about Avallac'h.
