  • 1x Monster Blood

Legendary Griffin Trousers are the NG+ Legendary variant of the basic Griffin Trousers, medium witcher armor. They give 33 armor at level 12, with +11% sign intensity. They need level 11 plus the NG+ starting level, and their diagram is in Velen.

They also give +6% piercing, +9% slashing, +8% monster and +33% elemental resistance. The regular trousers give 31 armor and +5% sign intensity. The sign intensity suits a signs build.

Set Bonus

The Griffin set is medium armor with five tiers. 3 pieces: after a sign cast in standard mode with stamina, the next sign cast within 3 seconds costs no stamina. 6 pieces: Yrden traps are 40% larger, and inside the trap stamina regeneration rises by 5/s, sign intensity by 100% and damage taken drops by 20%.

How to Get Legendary Griffin Trousers

  • In NG+, play Scavenger Hunt: Griffin School Gear in Velen.
  • Take the diagram next to George's tomb in Dragonslayer's Grotto.
  • A journeyman armorer crafts them.

Legendary Griffin Trousers Map Location and Quest Guide

The Legendary Griffin Trousers diagram sits in a chest at the far end of Dragonslayer's Grotto in Velen, the final resting place of the witcher George. The pin marks the grotto, the armor stop of Scavenger Hunt: Griffin School Gear. In New Game +, this legendary diagram replaces the standard one at the same spot.

  1. Buy Edwin Greloff's first or second map from the armorer in Midcopse to start Scavenger Hunt: Griffin School Gear. Finding any of the diagrams also starts it.
  2. Go to Dragonslayer's Grotto, drop down into the area and enter the cave.
  3. Kill the wraiths and head down the main hall.
  4. Blast the weak wall with Aard and kill the wraith behind it.
  5. Clear the toxic gas clouds in the tunnel with Igni or Aard, and fight any wraiths on the way.
  6. Prepare for a fight, then blast the rocks at the end of the tunnel. An ekimmara waits behind them.
  7. Kill the ekimmara and loot the chest with the glowing lights for the Legendary Griffin Trousers diagram.
