Legendary Ursine Boots are the NG+ variant of the Basic Ursine Boots, heavy Bear School witcher gear. They give 51 armor and +11% adrenaline gain at level 21. Their diagram is in Castle Tuirseach in Skellige. They need level 20 on top of the NG+ starting level.
They also give +6% piercing, +6% bludgeoning, +6% slashing and +4% monster resistance. Their armor rises by 2 per level. Against the regular Ursine Boots, they raise adrenaline gain from 5% to 11% and each physical resistance from 2% to 6%.
Set Bonus
The Ursine set is heavy armor. It has five tiers: Basic at level 20, Enhanced at 25, Superior at 30, Mastercrafted at 34 and Grandmaster at 40. The 3-piece and 6-piece bonuses come from Grandmaster pieces worn as a school set. 3 pieces: when a Quen shield breaks, a new one may be cast at no stamina cost, with a 5% chance per set piece worn. 6 pieces: damage dealt by abilities that involve Quen rises by 200%.
How to Get Legendary Ursine Boots
- In NG+, start Scavenger Hunt: Bear School Gear.
- Go to the dungeon under Castle Tuirseach, near Yngvar's Fang on An Skellig, and open the chest behind the iron gate. It holds the boots, armor, gauntlets and trousers diagrams.
- A journeyman armorer crafts them.
Legendary Ursine Boots Map Location and Quest Guide
The Legendary Ursine Boots diagram lies in a chest behind an iron gate in the dungeon under Castle Tuirseach, the former castle of Clan Tuirseach near Yngvar's Fang on An Skellig. The pin marks the castle, a stop of Scavenger Hunt: Bear School Gear. It is the New Game + counterpart of the Ursine Boots diagram and lies at the same spot.
- Start Scavenger Hunt: Bear School Gear by finding any of its diagrams, or by buying one of Ibrahim Savi's maps from the armorer at Kaer Trolde.
- Go to Castle Tuirseach near Yngvar's Fang and head down to the bottom floor of the ruins.
- Head down the stairs into the dungeon and kill the wraith that appears by the first cells.
- At the end of the hall, turn right and pull the lever on the wall. The cells open and more wraiths appear.
- Drop through the hole in the first cell on the left of the lever, and kill the wraith at the tunnel junction.
- Climb the stairs and ledges, then blast the rocks with Aard to enter the room behind the iron gate.
- Loot the chest in the corner across the room for the Legendary Ursine Boots diagram. The other three armor diagrams of the set are inside too.
