The Ice Elemental is one of the Elementa: a mass of frozen water brought to life by magic. It is met late in the main story, during the battle against Caranthir of the Wild Hunt.

Lore

Yannick Lovt, a burglar, once wondered what a lump of ice was doing in the middle of a mage's lab. Then the lump of ice got up and broke his legs.

An ice elemental has no mind and no will of its own. It obeys the mage who made it without limit. Those orders usually come down to a single word: kill.

Behaviour

Ice elementals carry out that order with ease. They have incredible strength. Poison and fire do nothing to them. They have no soft organs to strike, and their bodies are as hard as permafrost. All in all, they are very hard foes to beat.

Weaknesses

Coat the silver sword with Elementa Oil. The best chance to win is a Dimeritium Bomb. Its metal shards disrupt the spell that keeps the elemental alive.

An ice elemental fights with its huge fists. It also stomps on the ground to knock over everyone near it. Both attacks hit a wide area and deal ice damage, so keep a safe distance.

Ice elementals appear in On Thin Ice, a main quest. The fight there is against Caranthir of the Wild Hunt. As the battle goes on, he summons ice elementals to join him. His icy projectiles can also strike his own elementals, so placing an elemental between him and his target turns his magic against them.
