Story

---

Geralt is not the only one looking for Ciri. A mysterious elven mage is also on her trail. Like Geralt, the elf visits Keira Metz to ask where Ciri might be. He tells Keira that he keeps a hideout in the elven ruins near the village of Midcopse. He also promises Keira a magic lamp.

Geralt and Keira follow this lead into the ruins in the quest Wandering in the Dark. The Wild Hunt is already there. There Geralt learns that the elf travelled with Ciri some time before, and that the Wild Hunt is after him too. The elf has left magic messages in the ruins, meant for Ciri. Keira's lamp is still hidden in the ruins, and Geralt helps her find it in the quest Magic Lamp.

In Skellige, Geralt finds proof that the mysterious elven mage saved Ciri from certain death at the hands of the Wild Hunt's warriors. Skjall adds another detail. After the Hunt's attack, Skjall saw Ciri and a mysterious elf sail away from Skellige, heading for the open sea.

The elf's true identity comes out later. He is Avallac'h, an elven Sage of the Aen Elle.
