What Lies Unseen is a main quest of Blood and Wine on the Orianna path. Geralt and Regis visit the lair of the Unseen Elder. This ancient vampire is the only one who can force Dettlaff to show himself. The Elder has no patience for guests. He paralyses Regis and hurls Geralt deep into the cave. Badly hurt, Geralt must find a way back and win the Elder's help.
What Lies Unseen Quest Guide
- Go to the Unseen Elder's lair and meet Regis.
- Open the entrance with Orianna's key.
- Take the upper path and kill the fleder with Regis.
- Jump the ledge to a chest with the Hen Gaidth Gauntlets and steel sword, if wanted.
- Walk on into the next room to face the Unseen Elder.
- After the fall, drink the healing potion by the stone column.
- Collect the gear lost in the fall.
- Read the mage's notes at the campfire and follow the footprints.
- Kill the protofleders on the way.
- Search the mage's body and read the crumpled letter.
- Find the offering for the Unseen Elder behind the short wall.
- Destroy the wall by the large rock with Aard.
- Jump into the water and reach the platform out of the cave.
- Talk to the Unseen Elder.
Choices
The Unseen Elder has no patience. Asking him more than one side question gets Geralt killed. In the second set of answers, only "Dettlaff spells trouble for you" wins his help. The Elder then agrees to force Dettlaff to come to Tesham Mutna.
