Tesham Mutna is the main quest of the final meeting with Dettlaff. It takes place in the vampire ruins of Tesham Mutna. What happens here depends on the path Geralt chose. If the Unseen Elder forced Dettlaff to come, Dettlaff flies into a rage and attacks Geralt and Regis. If Geralt brings Syanna, Dettlaff tries to take her life. The outcome decides how the story of Blood and Wine ends.
Tesham Mutna Quest Guide
- Travel to the Tesham Mutna Ruins.
- Prepare for the fight with potions and oils, if wanted.
- Help Regis fight Dettlaff.
- Use bombs that deal damage, since bombs that only cause a status effect do nothing to him.
- Fight Dettlaff through all three of his stages.
- Defeat Dettlaff.
Choices
On the Orianna path, Dettlaff comes alone and attacks at once. Geralt and Regis must fight him to the end.
On the Damien path, Geralt brings Syanna, and Dettlaff lunges at her. If Syanna wears the ribbon from the girl who sells flint, its magic carries her to safety. Dettlaff then turns on Geralt and Regis. Without the ribbon, Syanna dies. Geralt can then avenge her or let Dettlaff go. Dettlaff vows to stay away from humans forever.
Syanna's death has a price. Anna Henrietta has Geralt thrown into prison, which starts Burlap is the New Stripe. If Syanna lives, the story goes on in Pomp and Strange Circumstance.
