Knight Fight - Guilds

A guild is the only lasting group Knight Fight offers. Attributes are trained alone, equipment is bought alone from the merchant, and an attack sets one knight against one other, so a guild roster is the only list that ties a player's name to anybody else's for longer than a single fight. Guilds belong to one server, and the highscore ranks each of them against the rest of that server's guilds.

The reasons for being in one are practical. Members answer questions, look over a build that has stopped working, and pass round the names of players worth attacking. A guild is also the only route to a guild war, which is the one thing guilds do to each other, and it takes the whole roster with it: an administrator declares the war, and once it is running every fight between the two sides is scored for one of them.

Founding a guild asks for a character at level 5 and nothing else. Joining one instead starts from the same menu, and a good deal of recruiting happens outside the game on the MoonID forums, where guilds advertise for members and players without a guild post that they are looking.

Everything after the founding is bought. Expanding the castle runs on gold the members donate, and a declaration of war has a price of its own to be raised, so how large a guild grows and how often it fights are both questions of what the roster can put up. The largest castle on record is level 24, holding 135 members.
