Hack Queue lets V stack quickhacks on one enemy. The first level adds RAM, and the second allows a second hack to be lined up behind the first, uploading automatically and faster than it otherwise would. It is one of the structural picks in the Intelligence tree. Queues are what the upper half of the tree is built on.
Effect
Without a queue, a quickhack has to finish uploading before the next can start, which makes a netrunner slow in the exact moment speed is needed.
A queue removes the wait. Two hacks can be committed at once, they upload in order, and the second arrives faster than a single hack would. Everything above this perk reads the length of that queue or what is sitting in it.
| Level | Effect |
|---|---|
| 1 | +1 Max RAM. |
| 2 | Unlocks quickhack queues, allowing 2 quickhacks on a single enemy. Queued quickhacks automatically upload in the order they are added, +30% upload speed for the second quickhack in a queue. |
How to Unlock Hack Queue
It sits behind the Pro gate of the Intelligence tree, so a solid run of points goes into Intelligence first. Both levels are needed, since the queue itself arrives on the second.
Perk Tree
Buying Hack Queue opens the perks below.
| Name | Image | Tier | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Counter-A-Hack | Pro (9) | When you're the target of an enemy netrunner, you are now able to counter quickhack them through walls and obstacles. -1 RAM cost for such counter quickhacks. | |
| Feedback Loop | Pro (9) | +25% RAM recovery rate for each quickhack currently in a queue. |
Character Builds
The build is the netrunner that stacks effects on one enemy, which is the shape the whole upper tree assumes.
Buy both levels as the Pro gate opens, then Feedback Loop so the queue pays RAM back, then Counter-A-Hack if enemy netrunners are a problem. Queue Acceleration at the Phenom gate lengthens the queue again, and Queue Mastery at the Legend gate closes the branch.
Notes
Counter-A-Hack and Feedback Loop are bought from it, and Queue Acceleration higher in the tree lengthens the queue again.
Data Recycler returns most of the RAM from hacks still queued on an enemy who dies.
