| Requires | Deadeye |
| Affects | Only affects Pistols, Revolvers, Precision Rifles, and Sniper Rifles |
Long Shot removes distance from the equation. While Deadeye is held, V's shots deal full damage however far away the target is. It sits in the marksman branch of the Cool tree. It is what a sniper build is actually asking for.
Effect
Every weapon has an effective range, and past it the damage falls away. For a sniper rifle that line is generous and it is still there, which is why a very long shot sometimes fails to kill.
Removing the falloff entirely means the only limit is whether V can hit. A rooftop across a district becomes as deadly as a doorway.
How to Unlock Long Shot
It sits behind the Phenom gate of the Cool tree and is bought from Deadeye.
Perk Tree
Long Shot is bought from Deadeye in the Cool tree.
| Name | Image | Tier | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Deadeye | Phenom (15) | +10% headshot and weak spot damage. |
Character Builds
The build is a sniper, and this is the perk that removes the one thing standing between it and a shot across a district.
Buy it at the Phenom gate from Deadeye. Nerves Of Tungsten-Steel at the Legend gate then adds damage as the distance grows, so the two together make range an advantage rather than a cost. A scope is what makes the shot aimable at all.
Notes
Nerves Of Tungsten-Steel at the top of the tree goes further and adds damage as the distance grows.
Scopes extend the range at which a shot can be aimed, which is the other half of a long engagement.
