Revolvers
Revolvers are the one-handed heavy hitters of Night City. They give up magazine size and reload speed for firepower and improved headshot damage. They work best in a Cool build that takes one careful shot at a time and aims each one at the head.
Combat
Pros
- Power revolvers hit hardest on the head. Overture, DR-5 Nova and most Iconic revolvers carry +200% headshot damage.
- Tech revolvers pierce armor. DR-12 Quasar and RT-46 Burya have +175% headshot damage and 50% armor penetration.
- Some revolvers fire explosive rounds, such as Metel, Taigan and Laika.
- A silencer still fits on a Power revolver, so revolvers can work from stealth.
Cons
- The cylinder is small and the reload is slow, so every miss costs time.
- Comrade's Hammer holds a single round, and its explosive shot cannot penetrate cover.
- Explosive Tech rounds on Laika also cannot penetrate cover. Laika loses the usual Tech advantage of shooting through walls.

Character Builds
Cool perks improve revolvers. They turn headshots into crits, and they reward kills with faster reloads and more Stamina.
- Deadeye adds +10% headshot and weak spot damage. With it active, Nerves Of Tungsten-Steel makes headshots guaranteed crits and adds damage at range.
- High Noon works while Deadeye is active. After a headshot kill, it gives +35% reload speed on the next reload and slows time by half while reloading. It directly fixes the slow reload.
- California Reaper restores 30% Stamina after a headshot or weak spot kill.
- Long Shot keeps full damage at any distance while Deadeye is active.
- Quick Draw speeds up the swap to a revolver by 30%. A swap during combat also restores Stamina.
- Focus starts when aiming at full Stamina. While it lasts, shooting costs no Stamina.
The Headhunter skill levels alongside Cool and adds headshot damage at its milestones. The Technical Ability perk Bolt also helps Tech revolvers. It speeds up charging and adds damage to charged shots.
For cyberware, Visual Cortex Support adds crit chance the farther away the target is. It works well with the long range of Mancinella and Ol' Reliable. A Ballistic Coprocessor raises the ricochet chance of Power rounds. Pinpoint is a mod that reduces bullet spread for a few seconds after each headshot. It helps a revolver land several shots in a row.
Notes
- Comrade's Hammer reloads itself whenever a Quick Melee Attack lands.
- Ol' Reliable greatly raises headshot damage and range for a moment after it is drawn.
- Mancinella keeps the stealth damage bonus active for a short time after combat starts.
- Rosco knocks enemies down with leg shots. Headshots on downed enemies always crit.
- Laika and Taigan belong to a banned Techtronika series. Their burn makes every hit on a burning enemy a crit.
- Iconic revolvers are the only revolvers that can be upgraded through crafting.
- Cassidy gives Amnesty in We Gotta Live Together, as the prize for hitting at least 12 of the 16 bottles in 15 seconds.
- Kerry gives Archangel during A Like Supreme, and River gives Crash during Following the River.
- Dante Caruso drops Ol' Reliable during Shot by Both Sides.
- Mr. Hands provides Mancinella, a replica of the original gun, during Run This Town.
- Laika is in the first Airdrop at Los Osos in Dogtown. Taigan is in the scripted Airdrop on top of the northeastern tower of Montezuma's Throne.
- Comrade's Hammer comes from the Suspected Organized Crime Activity in Arroyo. Dodger drops Rosco during Waiting for Dodger.
- Metel is the standard revolver with explosive rounds. Sophia Dupont at the EBM Petrochem Stadium and Leon Watson in Longshore Stacks sell it.
