Totentanz is the club of the Maelstrom gang, on the upper floors of an unfinished hotel in Northside. Its name is German for the dance of death. It is dark, loud and extremely violent.
History
The first Totentanz stood on top of Burleson Tower in the old city centre. It survived the destruction of the Arasaka Towers, and Maelstrom later took over the whole building. When the tower began to fall apart, the gang went looking for a new home.
They found an abandoned hotel still under construction in Watson. Maelstrom made the building their main base and turned the upper floors into the new Totentanz. The club became a major source of money for the gang.
Shortly before V's story, David Martinez and his crew stormed the lobby of the building to rescue a friend.

Inside Totentanz
Gang members from all over the city come to party to heavy rock and neo death metal at deafening volume. Everyone is welcome, as long as they respect Maelstrom's rules. A night with fewer than a dozen bodies is said to be a boring one.
The band Tinnitus plays only here.
Totentanz is the most popular gang club in Night City, a place to drink and riot.
