Second Conflict is the side job in which V helps Kerry Eurodyne reunite his old band, Samurai, for one more gig. It follows Holdin' On, sending V first to the Maelstrom club Totentanz in Northside to find Nancy Hartley, the band's keyboard player, and then to Denny's mansion in North Oak, where the band's drummer and bassist are at each other's throats.
Story
Totentanz
After talking with Nancy's assistant, Steven, Johnny tells V to go to Totentanz. On the third floor, the Maelstrom guards recognise V from The Pickup. What happens next depends on how that job ended.
If Royce and Dum Dum survived, Dum Dum greets V and takes V to Nancy, who is meeting with Royce. They turn hostile, and V has to slip out with Nancy. If Royce and Dum Dum died but V freed Brick, Patricia takes V to Nancy, who is meeting with Brick, and Brick thanks V for saving him. If all three died, Patricia leads V to Nancy, whom the gang has locked in a room, and V fights the gang to free her.
Nancy
Nancy takes V to her car. She wants to talk, and on the drive V persuades her to join Kerry's gig for a Samurai reunion. V then calls Kerry.
Denny's Mansion
Kerry asks V to meet him at the mansion of Denny, the band's drummer, with Henry, the bassist. The gate is locked and no one answers the intercom, so V has to sneak onto the property. In the garden, Henry has driven a cement truck into the yard and poured concrete into Denny's pool, and the two are arguing. Kerry stands to one side. When V confronts them, it is clear that only one of them can play the gig, and V has to choose.

Choices
Denny or Henry
Choosing Denny makes Henry storm off, and Kerry tells Denny about Nancy before leaving. Choosing Henry, he says he has no problem with Denny joining too, but Denny throws the group out, and Kerry takes Henry to his car. Johnny has no preference when asked. The choice only changes the dialogue and the band's line up.
Maelstrom
The outcome of The Pickup decides which Maelstrom leaders are at Totentanz and whether the visit turns violent.
Rewards
Completing Second Conflict rewards Gold-plated baseball bat (missable) and Doom Doom (depending on choices, missable).
At the end of the argument, Denny throws her Iconic Gold-plated Baseball Bat into the pool, where it can be picked up. If Dum Dum is at Totentanz, which only happens if The Pickup ended peacefully, he can be killed for his Iconic revolver Doom Doom. Combat must begin and he must draw the gun first.
