Mountain Base Cave is a large cave on the south-western side of Agamen Volcanic Island, south-west of the Volcanic Island Camp. At its heart lies a forge of molten rock, and its chests are stocked with grimoires and fine weapons.

Mountain Base Cave Quests
In Steeled Resolve, Blazing Forge, Sara goes missing from Brokkr's Smithy in Bakbattahl, and the trail leads to this cave, where she has gone to work at its forge.
What's Inside Mountain Base Cave
The cave climbs over several floors around the forge. A chest beside the forge holds the Molten Fury, and the Cinderspine sits in a chest on a ledge up the cliff. A Ferrystone, a Wakestone Shard and Seeker's Tokens are hidden around the cave, and copies of the grimoires Winter's Path and Hiemal Euphony are scattered through the cave in chests and on the ground. A chest by the entrance gives Stability Extract, and another holds Quenching Syrup. Southron Iron and Fuligin Ore can be mined inside.
