Ferrystone is a stone that instantly carries its user to a set Portcrystal. It is the fast-travel item of the game, and shops, chests and quest rewards all supply it.
Early in the story, Sven hands one over in Vernworth during The Ornate Box.

How to Get Ferrystone
- Buy the Ornate Box from Auriol in Vernworth and give it to Sven.
- Meet Sven at the fountain over the following days to receive a Ferrystone.
- Pick up many more from shops, chests and other quests.

Griffins, Goreminotaurs, Golems and Drakes can drop it. Quest rewards include The Caged Magistrate, Halls of the First Dawn and Twixt a Rock and a Hard Place, as well as Trouble on the Cape if Ulrika becomes chief of Harve Village, and A Veil of Gossamer Clouds for finding the delivered letter. During Monster Culling a Hobgoblin in Trevo Mine carries one, and a chest behind a locked door on the second floor of the Ancient Battleground opens with the Ancient Battleground Key that Oskar gives after Tolled to Rest. A Seeker's Token turned in at the Vernworth Vocation Guild also earns one. Many more lie in chests or out in the open, among them Waterfall Cave, Darkhorde Cave, Trevo Mine, the Forested Griffin's Nest, Rivage Elder's Home, Marshland Settlement, Mountain Base Cave and the top of the Vernworth Pawn Guild tower. Pawns that know of a particular chest may offer to lead the way to it.
Ferrystone Map Location and Quest Guide
The Ornate Box is a side quest given by Sven and Auriol in Vernworth. It becomes available during the main quest Seat of the Sovran, in the Merchant Quarter. Sven hands over a Ferrystone at one of the later meetings at the fountain.
- Go to the merchant stalls in the Merchant Quarter, where Sven wants the Ornate Box from Auriol's shop but lacks the gold.
- Buy the Ornate Box from Auriol. The price drops once Medicament Predicament is complete.
- Find Sven in the Merchant Quarter and give him the box.
- Wait a few days, then meet Sven at the fountain in the centre of Vernworth. He hands over a Jasper. The pawns give a reminder each time he is ready to meet again.
- Meet him at the fountain the next day for a Ring of Accrual.
- Keep returning to the fountain on the following days. Sven hands over a Ferrystone, the Courtly Tunic, the Courtly Breeches and his gold, completing the quest.
Rewards: 900 XP, 4,000 G, Jasper, Ring of Accrual, Ferrystone, Courtly Tunic and Courtly Breeches.
Outcomes:
- Buy the Ornate Box for Sven: the full reward.
- Lend Sven the gold instead: he repays it in gold in place of the Jasper and Ring of Accrual.
