Volcanic Island Camp is a walled settlement on Agamen Volcanic Island, reached by the road south-east from Bakbattahl. It offers rest and supplies on a dangerous island, and it is known for its hot spring and for the vocation teachers who gather around it.

Volcanic Island Camp Lore and History

Ernesto is charged with the defence of the island and its people, and leads the camp. Within it lies Geyser Hamlet with its hot spring, the haunt of Lamond, a hard-drinking regular who teaches the Warfarer vocation. The island can be reached through the Flamebearer Palace Spellseal Door during the main story, or through Drabnir's Grotto without waiting for the story to lead there.

Volcanic Island Camp Quests

Lamond starts The Sotted Sage at the hot spring by asking for Newt Liqueur, and completing it unlocks the Warfarer vocation. Put a Spring in Thy Step begins west of the camp with old Gautstafr and his aching back, and leads to escorting him to the hot spring in Geyser Hamlet; it unlocks the Magick Archer vocation.

Menella waits at the camp to start A Candle in the Storm, which follows Shadowed Prayers and hunts the mastermind behind the attempts on Empress Nadinia's life. 'Twixt a Rock and a Hard Place, given in Bakbattahl, brings a letter to Ernesto here, who then sends the Arisen on to the Excavation Site. In the Unmoored World, Ernesto starts The Importance of Aiding Ernesto near the camp's northern gate, one of the evacuation quests of Halls of the First Dawn, which involves bringing Gautstafr, Cliodhna and the stubborn Lamond to safety.

Shops and Places in Volcanic Island Camp

The Worker's Dormitory is the camp's inn, and the Volcanic Island Armory sells weapons, armour and rings. The Volcanic Island Riftstone and the Volcanic Island Ropeway Station serve the camp, and Geyser Hamlet holds the hot spring.
