Wakestone Shard is a fragment of miraculous magick. Three of them join into a Wakestone, so every shard brings the next revival closer.
Captain Brant gives one at the end of The Stolen Throne, a main quest in Vernworth. Shards also turn up in chests, as monster drops and as pawn quest rewards.
A fragment ensorceled with miraculous magick. Gather three to form a Wakestone, which can restore the dead to life.
Shards turn up as treasure across the world and as quest rewards, and many low-level pawns give one for their first quest, which makes them easy to farm by hiring those pawns. The chest in Ulrika's House in Melve holds one and refills regularly. The Dragon's Gaze reveals nearby shards on the map.
Wakestone Shard Map Location and Quest Guide
The Stolen Throne is a main quest given by Captain Brant in Vernworth. It begins on speaking to him at The Stardrop Inn at night. A Wakestone Shard is part of the reward for reporting to Brant.
Accept the quest. Brant hands over the Eventide Mask.
Get the Courtly Tunic and Courtly Breeches from The Ornate Box, or from the chest in the guest chambers on the second floor of Vernworth Castle.
Equip the mask and both pieces of attire, then go to the masquerade hall in the Royal Quarter at night. The pawns wait at the edge of the quarter.
Ask the soldier at the door whether a ball is on. Masquerades run every two nights, so rest at an inn if the hall is quiet.
Step inside to trigger a cutscene of the false Sovran leaving the hall.
Walk to the outer ring of the hall and find the stretch of wall that sits slightly recessed. Walk into it to open the hidden passage before dawn, as it closes at sunrise.
Cross the small room beyond, go out through the double doors and follow the path outside to the Rose Chateau Bordelrie. Enter for a cutscene.
Let Wilhelmina hide the Arisen from the guards and watch the scenes with Disa and Phaesus. She hands over the Myrmecoleon Card afterwards.
Return to The Stardrop Inn at night and tell Brant what was seen to complete the quest.
