The Ghostflame Breath is a Dragon Communion incantation in Elden Ring. It is one of the expansion's additions, found in the Land of Shadow.
Ghostflame Breath is one of the incantations of Dragon Communion, drawing on the fallen dragons that drifted to the land of spiritgraves and were so full of vivacity that even in death they could not fully die. The caster transforms into a dragon that hovers and breathes ghostflame from above, dealing magic damage and frostbite buildup, and holding the cast lets it breathe again while turning, even when started mid-jump. It deals more damage than both Borealis's Mist and Dragonice but builds only half their frostbite, and its first cast is a little cheaper than Borealis's Mist. The Dragon Communion Seal and the Roar Medallion boost it, and it cannot be used on horseback. It suits Dragon Communion builds that want a strong breath with a touch of frost.
Effect
Transforms the caster into a dragon that hovers and breathes ghostflame from above, building up frostbite; charging extends the breath, and it can be cast while jumping. Each cast costs 36 FP and 60 stamina and takes up one memory slot.
