The Protection of the Erdtree is an Erdtree incantation in Elden Ring. It is found in the Altus Plateau, around the middle of a run.
Protection of the Erdtree is a superior incantation of Erdtree Worship, from a time when everything opposed the Erdtree until countless victories in war made it the embodiment of Order. It cuts fire, holy, lightning and magic damage taken for the caster and nearby allies for 70 seconds, by less against players, and holding the prayer delays activation until allies are close. It covers every damage type except physical at once, which makes it a flexible defensive buff before bosses that mix elements. As a body buff it will not stack with others of that type. It suits co-op groups and faith supports that want broad elemental protection.
Effect
Cuts fire, holy, lightning and magic damage taken by 30% for the caster and nearby allies for 70 seconds. Each cast costs 30 FP and 50 stamina and takes up one memory slot.
