The search leads through the passage from the Albaneve Summits to an old tavern and on to an island, where the soul of Captain Melville Fontane waits. He becomes the Fisher, and the quest gives 2800 XP.

The quest step by step:

1. Finish Illuminate The Night and raise the Flame to level 8, then speak to the Flame.
2. Travel to the cave passage in the Albaneve Summits that leads to the Veilwater Basin.
3. Go through the passage to the outlook on the other side.
4. Search the tavern Tavern "Ol' Salt 'N Pepper" for clues about a guiding soul.
5. Reach the island of Ol' Captain's Rest and search it for the captain's remains.
6. Rescue his soul, then summon and speak to him in the base.

This quest opens after Illuminate The Night, a quest from the Flame. The Flame senses a barrier built by the elder Ancients, which hides something from its sight. The barrier is the door of Elder's Night Sanctum in Revelwood, decorated with stars and a moon. The door opens only at night, and traps fill the halls behind it. Elio Ricci, the Barber, sleeps in the depths and joins the base. After that, the Flame turns to a disturbance in the waters beyond the Albaneve Summits.
