The Barber is Elio Ricci, a survivor and craftsperson in Enshrouded. Elio Ricci lets players change their character's appearance at any time. He is rescued at Elder's Night Sanctum in Revelwood.

Rescue
The Flame gives the quest, picked up at the Flame Altar. The quest opens after the Farmer and Carpenter are rescued and Fenrig Mills, Jr. is retrieved. The sanctum door only opens at night and cannot be forced. Traps fill the sanctum; a button at the far end opens the chamber where Elio sleeps. Elio lies in a pod in the depths of the sanctum and is summoned with the Summoning Staff.

Elio changes preset, skin color, hair, hair color, beard, beard color, eye color and eyebrow color. Appearance changes do not affect stats or abilities. Extra hairstyles, hair colors and eye colors are unlocked through quests across Embervale. Rescuing him unlocks dyes at the Coloring Station.

Lore
Elio is a Barber who allows players to modify their character's appearance to better reflect their preferences without affecting any of the character's stats or abilities. Rescuing Elio also unlocks the ability to use Dyes at the Coloring Station. He is a barber and hairstylist from the capital, Pikemead's Reach. As war approached he left his salon and moved toward Fort Kelvin, where he ran a temporary salon. His clients there spoke of a tremble in the earth at night, and he mixed a blood-red dye while closed. He says beasts threw him over a cliff, leaving him a little disoriented. He is vain, cheerful and full of compliments.
Notes
He also gives many short quests that reveal new hair and eye colors, such as Brilliant Blues, Red Redemption and Blue-Eyed Darling. Many of them are small errands or simple finds. One sends the player to read a journal about his old salons, which reveals new red hair colors. His own story ties in, since he once ran a temporary salon near Fort Kelvin. Wig heads found across Embervale add new hairstyles, such as the one from the Cowlick Wig Head. Changes at the Barber only alter the look of the character.
