Every roof in the Ashlands stands on something, and often that something is the Ashwood Pole 1 m, a 0.4x0.4x1 post from the Supports section. At two Ashwood each, they stack into columns, prop up a floor over uneven ground and give the 2 m beams somewhere to land when a span starts to sag.
How to Build It
Each post costs two Ashwood and is built inside a Workbench's radius. Support runs down to the ground, so a column of these carries far more when it stands on rock or packed earth than it ever will hanging off the end of a beam.
