The Ashwood Pole 2 m is two metres of Ashwood standing on end, the taller of the two Ashwood uprights in the Supports part of the build menu. Plant a row of them to lift a floor, a gallery or a roof ridge above head height and carry that weight back down to the ground, which is where any structure gets its stability.

How to Build It

Each pole costs four Ashwood and is set with the Hammer inside the range of a Workbench. That station also has to be nearby when you come back to repair one. Unlike ordinary Wood, Ashwood will not catch fire, which is the whole reason to build with it once you live in the Ashlands. It still takes damage from rain, though, so a pole left out in the open needs a roof over it or regular visits with the hammer.
