The Effigy of Malice is the charred cross staked out inside the fortresses of the Ashlands. This nailed up totem keeps feeding charred warriors, marksmen and the occasional warlock into a fight for as long as it stands. It shows up among the Decoration entries because the game counts it as a structure, but you cannot raise one with a hammer: you find it, and then you take it apart.

How to Build It

You cannot build it, so the only thing worth knowing is how it comes down. The effigy has five hundred points of durability and gives way to chop damage, so an axe strips it far faster than a mace or a spear. Felling it early is almost always cheaper than grinding through the garrison it keeps replacing.
