Grausten arched roof is the curved roofing piece of the Ashlands masonry set, a grey stone barrel curve in place of a straight pitch. It measures two metres on every side and is cut from five blocks of Grausten. You find it in the Roofing section beside the flat roof. Like the charred fortresses it copies, it sheds rain off its curve, and it gives a hall a vaulted line the straight timber sets cannot manage.
How to Build It
Each piece costs five Grausten, and you need a Stonecutter in range to build it and to repair it later. Arched and straight roofing are two different profiles, so pick one for a run and stick with it. Mixing them along the same ridge leaves gaps that no corner piece will close. The stone itself is unbothered by rain, but it is still stonework, so it needs stone walls or pillars beneath it rather than a timber frame.
