Grausten floor 1x1 is the smallest slab in the Flooring section: one square metre of grey Ashlands paving for two blocks of Grausten. Builders keep a stack for the strips and notches a larger tile overshoots, like squaring off a landing, closing the gap beside a stair, or paving a corridor only a metre wide.

How to Build It

Each tile costs two Grausten, and you place and repair it inside the range of a Stonecutter. Stone draws its support from the ground up through other stonework, so even these small tiles will not hang off a wooden beam. Give them earth, a stone wall or a pillar underneath. They are also the expensive way to cover ground, so use them for fitting and let the bigger slabs do the open floor.
