Leather Helmet is the first thing most Vikings put on their head, made from six Deer Hides off the Meadows and a single trip to the workbench. It gives 2 armour, or 8 fully upgraded. Worn with the rest of the Leather Armor set, it is part of a 7 armour rating, which turns a 100-damage hit into 93.
How to Craft
Craft it at a level 2 workbench from:
- 6x Deer Hide: Dropped by deer.
| Name | Image | Biome | Crafting Station | Spawn ID |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Deer Hide | Meadows | - | spawn DeerHide
|
When to Use It
Opening hours. Everything it takes comes from the Meadows, so this is gear for a character who has only just stood up.
Upgrades
You can upgrade it 3 times after crafting, and each level needs the station built one step higher than the last. The other figures on this page are for quality 1, so this is the ladder your own copy sits somewhere on:
| Quality | Crafting Station | Armor | Durability | Resources |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Workbench (Level 2) | 2 | 400 |
6x Deer hide |
| 2 | Workbench (Level 3) | 4 | 500 |
|
| 3 | Workbench (Level 4) | 6 | 600 |
|
| 4 | Workbench (Level 5) | 8 | 700 |

Notes
- Armor lowers physical, fire, frost and lightning damage, but poison and spirit damage go straight through it.
- While your armor is less than half of a hit's damage, it is simply subtracted from the hit. Once it reaches half the damage or more, the damage taken becomes the damage squared divided by four times your armor, so doubling your armor halves the damage you take.
- Your armor rating is the total of the helmet, chest, leg and cape pieces you wear.
