The Wood Beam 45° does its work on steep roofs and stairwells, rising a full step for every step it travels along. Two Wood buy one from the Supports tab, and a row of them makes the rafter line a steep-pitched hall needs before any roof panel will sit on it.
How to Build It
The recipe is two Wood with a Workbench nearby, the same as every plain timber piece. Because a 45 degree run climbs and reaches at the same time, a long unbroken row pulls a long way from whatever holds it up. Plain wood loses strength with every piece it travels from solid ground, so drop a pole under the middle of the run, or switch to an iron-reinforced beam, before the far end starts showing red in the build overlay. Keep it dry as well, since uncovered wood takes rain damage.
