One Wood buys one square of decking, and that is all the Wood Floor 1x1 does, which is why it heads the Flooring tab. It exists for the awkward metre: the gap beside a stairwell, the strip left over where a hall does not divide evenly, the ledge around a Hearth.
How to Build It
Each tile costs one Wood, with a Workbench in range for laying it and for repairing it later. Cheap as it is, every small tile is another joint the floor has to pass its support across, so put the big squares down first and keep these for filling in. Bare planking left in the open takes rain damage and loses strength as it goes. A floor that will never have a roof over it is a floor you will keep going back to with the Hammer.
