A Poet Under Pressure is a main quest in Novigrad. Dandelion sits in the dungeons of Temple Isle. The witch hunters plan to move him to Deireadh, the prison in Oxenfurt, to await his execution. Zoltan, Priscilla and Dudu have set up an ambush on the road. The ambush only half works, and Geralt has to chase down the guard who rides off with Dandelion.
A Poet Under Pressure Map Location and Quest Guide
A Poet Under Pressure map location:
- Ask Dijkstra at the bathhouse for men to help with the ambush, if he owes Geralt a favor.
- Ride east out of Novigrad and climb the grassy bank north of the road to Zoltan.
- Talk to Zoltan.
- Talk to Priscilla when she arrives, and play gwent with her while waiting.
- Join the ambush when the convoy arrives.
- Mount Roach and follow the fleeing horse's tracks with Witcher Senses.
- Ask at the camp whether anyone saw Dandelion's abductor.
- Past the fork beyond the camp, follow the smell of Dandelion's cologne with Witcher Senses.
- Talk to the halflings at the hut in the woods and take their key.
- Unlock the trapdoor, go through the cellar and climb the ladder into the hut.
- Kill the witch hunter.
- Untie Dandelion and talk to him about Ciri.

Choices
Help from Dijkstra is optional. It depends on Count Reuven's Treasure. If Geralt helped Dijkstra get his treasure back, Dijkstra sends a few of his men to join the ambush.
