Blindingly Obvious is one of the main quests inside Final Preparations. Triss is searching Novigrad for Philippa Eilhart. A spell trapped Philippa in the shape of an owl, and she ended up as Zoltan's pet. Dijkstra found her first and locked her in his bathhouse. Geralt and Triss must reach her before Dijkstra takes his revenge.

Blindingly Obvious Map Location and Quest Guide

Blindingly Obvious map location:

Find Triss upstairs at the inn and talk to her.
Meet Triss at the fountain behind the Passiflora.
Watch Triss use her magic at the fountain to find Philippa.
Go to Dijkstra's bathhouse with Triss.
Chase Philippa through the bathhouse and fight off Dijkstra's henchmen.
Drop into the pool below and get past Bart the troll.
Kill the Fire Elemental that Philippa summons.
Climb the stone steps, jump the gap and creep up behind Philippa.
Calm Philippa down and lead her back upstairs.
Talk Dijkstra round or force a way past him.
Meet Triss at the bathhouse entrance.

Choices

Bart the troll blocks the tunnel under the bathhouse. Geralt can talk him into stepping aside or fight him.

Dijkstra blocks the way out with Philippa. Geralt can talk calmly or force his way through. A calm talk opens Reason of State if Geralt agreed to help Dijkstra's plot against the king. That quest has a part in the ending of the war.

Notes

If Geralt romanced Triss, she speaks at the fountain about a new post abroad and asks him to join her.
