Est Tayiar is the site of an elven city that the earth swallowed, east of the Temerian Partisan Hideout. The sorceress Philippa Eilhart hid here from King Radovid for a time.

History
Long before humans came to these lands, a rich elven city stood here. It was built around the palace of King Maeglor. One day the people of the city began dying in great numbers, and nobody knew why. Legend says King Maeglor sensed that he would die too. He cast a powerful spell that made the earth swallow the city, so that no outsider could ever defile it.
Centuries later, scholars from the Oxenfurt Academy began digging out the palace of King Maeglor. They wanted to find the cause of the disaster. The work stopped suddenly after three expeditions went down into the ruins and never came back. The main quest Redania's Most Wanted leads here.
