The Land of a Thousand Fables is a magical world where fairy tales come to life. It is a huge illusion. In Blood and Wine, Geralt enters it to find Syanna, the sister of Duchess Anna Henrietta.

History

The illusionist Artorius Vigo made Syanna's protective amulet long ago. When Syanna is in deadly danger, the amulet carries her away to a safe place. That place is this land of fables.

Pixies guard the land and attack anyone who does not belong. Syanna is safe from them, but Geralt is an unwelcome guest.

Geography

A yellow brick road winds through the land. Along it stand the Wicked Witch's hut and Longlocks' tower. The house of Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother is there too, with the home of the Three Little Pigs and the den of the Three Bears. Grigg Village, Thumbelina's town and a snowy village lie further off. A giant's castle floats high above in the sky.

Story

Geralt follows the yellow brick road to find Syanna. Together they defeat the Wicked Witch. The only way out lies in the giant's castle in the sky. To reach it, Geralt needs three magic beans to grow a beanstalk. Joss, the boy who cried wolf, tells him where to look. One bean is inside the Big Bad Wolf, one is in Longlocks' tower, and one is in the house of the Three Little Pigs.

The beanstalk leads up to the Cloud Giant. The choices Geralt makes in this land shape the ending of Blood and Wine. The side quest Duck, Duck, Goosed! also takes place here.
