Its bonuses spread across swords and signs: +5% sign intensity, +6% adrenaline gain, +10% crit damage, +5% crit chance, +5% bleed chance and +5% XP from humans and nonhumans. That spread suits a hybrid build that mixes sword hits with signs. It has 2 rune slots.

The pin marks the Devil's Pit in Velen, where Reinald's spirit hands Geralt the Forgotten Wolven diagrams at the end of In the Eternal Fire's Shadow. The Forgotten Wolven Steel Sword diagram comes with the rest of the set, however the quest ends. A journeyman blacksmith crafts the sword from it.
- Speak to the young Eternal Fire priest by the Devil's Pit signpost in Velen to start In the Eternal Fire's Shadow. He gives Geralt the key to the mine.
- Unlock the gate at the bottom of the Devil's Pit and enter the mine.
- Follow the mine to the doors with Reinald's fifth letter pinned to them.
- Free Reinald from the salt stalagmites with Aard.
- Defeat the possessed Reinald, then the red miasmal that leaves his body.
- Talk to Reinald's spirit. He gives Geralt the Forgotten Wolven diagrams.

Notes
In NG+ the diagram makes the Legendary Forgotten Wolven Steel Sword instead. It needs level 19 plus the starting level and deals 185-226 damage at level 20.
