Grandmaster armorer

Grandmaster Legendary Griffin Boots are the NG+ Legendary variant of Grandmaster Griffin Boots, medium witcher armor from Blood and Wine. They give 93 armor at level 41, with +17% sign intensity. On a New Game Plus run, they come from Toussaint at level 40 plus the starting level.

They also give +7% piercing, +7% bludgeoning, +8% slashing and +6% monster resistance. The regular Grandmaster boots give 91 armor and +11% sign intensity. The sign bonus suits a signs build.

Set Bonus

The Griffin set is medium armor with five tiers, Basic to Grandmaster. 3 pieces: after a sign cast with stamina, the next sign within 3 seconds costs no stamina. 6 pieces: Yrden traps are 40% larger, and inside them stamina regen rises by 5/s, sign intensity by 100% and damage taken drops by 20%.

How to Get Grandmaster Legendary Griffin Boots

  • In NG+, start Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Griffin Gear.
  • Find the diagram in a crate under the stairs at Fort Ussar Ruins, with the steel sword and gauntlets diagrams.
  • A grandmaster armorer crafts them.

Grandmaster Legendary Griffin Boots Map Location and Quest Guide

The Grandmaster Legendary Griffin Boots diagram sits in a half hidden crate under the stairs on the east side of the Fort Ussar Ruins, the first stop of Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Griffin Gear. The pin marks the diagram spot, and the crate also holds the steel sword and gauntlets diagrams. In New Game +, this legendary diagram replaces the standard one at the same spot.

  1. Talk to Lafargue, the grandmaster smith in Toussaint, and ask him about the Griffin gear to start the hunt.
  2. Go to the Fort Ussar Ruins in Toussaint.
  3. Kill the slyzard and its mother if they are still in the ruins.
  4. Find the set of stairs on the east side of the ruins.
  5. Loot the crate beneath the stairs for the Grandmaster Legendary Griffin Boots diagram.
