Hjalmar's Steel Sword is a Relic steel sword from the base game. It rolls up to +200% crit damage, the highest crit damage roll of any steel sword. Hjalmar gives it as the prize for beating a Vildkaarl in a fistfight at the Kaer Trolde banquet during King's Gambit. Its stats are rolled when it is won in Skellige.
Each copy rolls +15-200% crit damage and +2-3% bonus experience from humans and nonhumans. A high roll makes critical hits much stronger.

How to Get Hjalmar's Steel Sword
- Play the main quest King's Gambit to the banquet at Kaer Trolde.
- At the banquet, beat a Vildkaarl in a fistfight to win the sword from Hjalmar.

- Finish Possession and The Lord of Undvik. King's Gambit then starts at Kaer Trolde.
- Follow Arnvald to the feast hall and watch Hjalmar and Cerys quarrel.
- Find Hjalmar in the middle of a fistfight in the hall.
- Accept his challenge to beat a vildkaarl with bare fists.
- Win the fight to take Hjalmar's Steel Sword, before talking to Crach an Craite.
