Master armorer

Mastercrafted Legendary Griffin Armor is the NG+ Legendary variant of the Mastercrafted Griffin Armor, medium witcher chest armor. It gives 210 armor at level 35, with +30% sign intensity. It is a Skellige piece that asks for level 34 on top of the NG+ starting level.

It also gives +25% piercing, +20% bludgeoning, +32% slashing and +30% monster resistance. The regular armor gives 205 armor and +20% sign intensity. The sign intensity suits a signs build.

Set Bonus

The Griffin set is medium armor with five tiers. 3 pieces: after a sign cast in standard mode with stamina, the next sign cast within 3 seconds costs no stamina. 6 pieces: Yrden traps are 40% larger, and inside the trap stamina regeneration rises by 5/s, sign intensity by 100% and damage taken drops by 20%.

How to Get Mastercrafted Legendary Griffin Armor

  • In NG+, follow Scavenger Hunt: Griffin School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 4.
  • Dig up the hidden treasure marker northeast of Redgill, which holds all four armor diagrams.
  • A master armorer crafts it.

Mastercrafted Legendary Griffin Armor Map Location and Quest Guide

The Mastercrafted Legendary Griffin Armor diagram lies in a chest on the second floor of the ruins northeast of Redgill and southeast of the Whale Graveyard on Ard Skellig, guarded by a cyclops. The pin marks the diagram spot, a stop of Scavenger Hunt: Griffin School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 4. It is the New Game + counterpart of the Mastercrafted Griffin Armor diagram and lies at the same spot.

  1. Buy Edwin Greloff's Fourth Map from Éibhear Hattori. It starts Scavenger Hunt: Griffin School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 4 and marks every diagram spot.
  2. Go to the ruins northeast of Redgill and southeast of the Whale Graveyard.
  3. Kill the cyclops. Mind the open side of the ruins over the sea.
  4. Find the griffin marker on the boulders on the north side, then climb the boulders to the second floor.
  5. Step around the hole in the middle of the room and loot the chests by the Aard place of power. One of them holds the Mastercrafted Legendary Griffin Armor diagram.
