Mastercrafted Legendary Griffin Gauntlets are the NG+ variant of Mastercrafted Griffin Gauntlets, medium Griffin School witcher gear. They give 75 armor and +15% sign intensity at level 35. Their diagram is at the hidden treasure marker northeast of Redgill in Skellige. These are late-game gauntlets that call for level 34 above the NG+ starting level.
They also give +7% piercing, +7% slashing, +5% monster and +20% elemental resistance. Their armor rises by 2 per level. Against the regular Mastercrafted gauntlets, they raise sign intensity from 10% to 15% and elemental resistance from 10% to 20%.
Set Bonus
The Griffin set is medium armor. It has five tiers: Basic at level 11, Enhanced at 18, Superior at 26, Mastercrafted at 34 and Grandmaster at 40. The 3-piece and 6-piece bonuses come from Grandmaster pieces worn as a school set. 3 pieces: after a sign cast in standard mode with stamina, the next sign cast within 3 seconds costs no stamina. 6 pieces: Yrden traps are 40% larger, and inside the trap stamina regeneration rises by 5 per second, sign intensity rises by 100% and damage taken drops by 20%.

- In NG+, start Scavenger Hunt: Griffin School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 4.
- Go to the hidden treasure marker northeast of Redgill and take the diagram, with the armor, trousers and boots diagrams.
- A master armorer crafts them.

The Mastercrafted Legendary Griffin Gauntlets diagram lies in a chest on the second floor of the ruins northeast of Redgill and southeast of the Whale Graveyard on Ard Skellig, guarded by a cyclops. The pin marks the diagram spot, a stop of Scavenger Hunt: Griffin School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 4. It is the New Game + counterpart of the Mastercrafted Griffin Gauntlets diagram and lies at the same spot.

- Go to the ruins northeast of Redgill and southeast of the Whale Graveyard.

- Step around the hole in the middle of the room and loot the chests by the Aard place of power. One of them holds the Mastercrafted Legendary Griffin Gauntlets diagram.
