Superior Samum is the top tier of Samum. It blinds foes within its explosion radius for 8 seconds. The first hit landed on a blinded foe is always a critical hit. One brew holds 4 charges. Gremist sells the formula at Gedyneith on Ard Skellig.
The opening blow on a blinded foe always lands as a critical hit. The blast destroys monster nests. Fiends, Sylvans and Shaelmaars are weak to it. Garkains are weak to it as well.

How to Get Superior Samum
- Buy the formula from Gremist at Gedyneith on Ard Skellig.
- Brew an Enhanced Samum first, since the recipe uses one.
- Brew it from the alchemy menu, outside combat, with 1 Alchemists' Powder, 1 Enhanced Samum, 2 Phosphorus, 2 Foglet Teeth, 2 Celandine, 2 Hellebore Petals and 1 Aether.
- Meditate with strong alcohol such as Dwarven Spirit, Alcohest or White Gull in the inventory to refill its charges.
Notes
The Pyrotechnics skill makes Superior Samum deal damage on top of its effect.
