Journeyman armorer

Superior Ursine Trousers are the Superior tier of the Ursine (Bear School) trousers, heavy witcher gear. They give 69 armor and +8% adrenaline point gain at level 30. Their diagram is in the monster den northwest of Hanged Man's Tree in Velen. They fit the late game.

They also give +4% piercing, +9% slashing, +8% monster and +15% elemental resistance. The adrenaline gain suits an adrenaline build, and the Ursine set bonuses suit a Quen tank.

Set Bonus

The Ursine set is heavy armor. It has five tiers: Basic at level 20, Enhanced at 25, Superior at 30, Mastercrafted at 34 and Grandmaster at 40. The 3-piece and 6-piece bonuses come from Grandmaster pieces worn as a school set. 3 pieces: when a Quen shield breaks, a new one may be cast at no stamina cost, with a 5% chance per set piece worn. 6 pieces: damage dealt by abilities that involve Quen rises by 200%.

How to Get Superior Ursine Trousers

  • Start Scavenger Hunt: Bear School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 3.
  • Loot the diagram from the monster den northwest of Hanged Man's Tree, with the armor, gauntlets and boots diagrams.
  • A journeyman armorer crafts them from Enhanced Ursine Trousers.

Superior Ursine Trousers Map Location and Quest Guide

The Superior Ursine Trousers diagram lies in a chest in a small alcove of the cave northwest of the Hanged Man's Tree in Velen, the cave of A Deadly Plot. The pin marks the cave, a stop of Scavenger Hunt: Bear School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 3.

  1. Buy Ibrahim Savi's Third Map from the armorer at Kaer Trolde. It starts Scavenger Hunt: Bear School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 3 and marks every diagram spot.
  2. Go to the cave northwest of the Hanged Man's Tree.
  3. Kill any nekkers and the nekker warrior outside the entrance.
  4. Head inside. Where the path curves, loot the chests in the small alcove on the left. One of them holds the Superior Ursine Trousers diagram, with the other three armor diagrams of the tier.
