The Nilfgaardian Connection is the first main quest of Act I in Velen. Geralt looks for Hendrik, an imperial agent who worked on Ciri's case. The Wild Hunt reached Hendrik first and killed him. His notes give Geralt two leads: the Bloody Baron and a witch near Midcopse.
The Nilfgaardian Connection Map Location and Quest Guide
The Nilfgaardian Connection map location:
- Collect Geralt's gear and travel from Vizima to Velen.
- Ride from the Hanged Man's Tree to the Inn at the Crossroads.
- Ask the innkeeper about Hendrik.
- Ride to Heatherton, a village nearby.
- Kill the rabid dogs that attack a survivor.
- Talk to the survivor about the Wild Hunt's raid.
- Search Hendrik's body in his hut and take the key from his boots.
- Find the trapdoor under the rug and go down to the cellar.
- Use the candlestick on the wall to open a hidden cupboard.
- Read Hendrik's notes in the chest.
