Ursine Steel Sword - Enhanced is the Enhanced tier of the Ursine (Bear School) steel sword, witcher gear from the base game. It deals 220-268 damage, with +10% adrenaline gain and +25% crit damage. Its diagram is at Kaer Almhult in Skellige. It is a mid-game sword that needs level 25.
It also gives +5% bonus experience from humans and nonhumans and has 2 rune slots. Compared with the basic Ursine Steel Sword, it doubles the adrenaline gain from +5% to +10%, adds +25% crit damage and adds a rune slot. The adrenaline bonus suits an adrenaline build.
Upgrading from the basic tier keeps its runestones, but a runeword is lost.
Set Bonus
The Ursine set is heavy armor. It has five tiers: Basic at level 20, Enhanced at 25, Superior at 30, Mastercrafted at 34 and Grandmaster at 40. The set bonuses come with the Grandmaster tier. 3 pieces: when a Quen shield breaks, there is a chance a new one is cast at no stamina cost, rising by 5% per set piece. 6 pieces: damage dealt by abilities that involve Quen rises by 200%.
How to Get Ursine Steel Sword - Enhanced
- Go to Kaer Almhult in Skellige.
- Climb the stairs behind the overturned wagon in the courtyard to find the diagram.
- A journeyman blacksmith crafts it from the basic Ursine Steel Sword.
Ursine Steel Sword - Enhanced Map Location and Quest Guide
The pin marks Kaer Almhult, a former prison on a small island west of Eldberg Lighthouse in Skellige. The Ursine Steel Sword - Enhanced diagram sits in a chest at the end of a small hallway, up the stairs behind the overturned wagon in the courtyard. It turns up during Scavenger Hunt: Bear School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 2, and a journeyman blacksmith crafts the sword from it.
- Start Scavenger Hunt: Bear School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 2 by finding any of its diagrams, or by buying Ibrahim Savi's second map from the armorer at Kaer Trolde.
- Sail to Kaer Almhult, west of Eldberg Lighthouse.
- Fight the pirates and guard dogs in the courtyard.
- From the main entrance, go behind the overturned wagon on the right and climb the stairs.
- Loot the chest at the end of the small hallway for the steel sword diagram.

Notes
In NG+ the diagram becomes Legendary Ursine Steel Sword - Enhanced. It needs level 25 plus the starting level and gives +22% adrenaline gain and +75% crit damage.
