Ana Friedman is an agent of the Brazilian Intelligence Agency and a brilliant analyst. Her work is a success. Her personal choices, much less so.
Biography
Ana has worked for the intelligence agency of the Federative Republic of Brazil for several years, and she values her job for two reasons. It gives her an adrenaline kick like nothing else, and she gets to read about it the next morning in the screamsheets. It also helps her forget a failed marriage. Sometimes it is easier to analyse the movements of hostile corporations in the NUSA than to deal with life.
In Dogtown, Ana and her partner, Steven Santos, look for their mentor, Mark Bana, who vanished and was thought dead. When his biomonitor comes back to life inside Organitopia, they hire V through Mr. Hands to find him, without official permission. The truth they find splits them. The agency knew that SovOil killed Bana and chose to look away to protect a deal with the company. Ana wants to leak the data to the media and to the rest of the agency.
